Where do I change and shower?
Each of our float rooms have ensuite changing and shower facilities. You will be greeted at reception by our staff and shown to one of our floats rooms, you will receive ear plugs and guidance on how operate the shower and enter and exit the float tank.
Can I fall asleep?
Yes! It's completely safe to fall asleep in the float tank. It is very difficult to roll over in the tank because of the density of the solution, you will always remain buoyant. We do recommend always float with you head to the door of the float tank
What should I wear?
Some people prefer to wear a bathing suit or shorts, others prefer not to wear anything so that they can feel free and are not distracted by clothing. This can be daunting the first time, so many people wear a costume the first time they float. You have your own private float room so the decision is completely up to you.
What if I am claustrophobic?
Our tanks are packed with superior features and technologies. It is 8ft 6″ long by 5ft 6″ wide with lots of space to manoeuvre around. You control the opening of the pod and even the light, to ensure your experience is right for you. People worried about claustrophobia have no problems with floating, but will generally choose to leave the door open on their first float
Can I float while pregnant?
From the second trimester it is completely safe to float! We have a number of pregnant clients and floating can relieve a lot of the aches and pains caused by pregnancy. However it is not permitted to float within the first trimester if you have any concerns please consult your doctor for further advice.
How clean is the tank?
We have a filtration system that runs after each session. There is more than 450 kgs of medical grade Epsom salt dissolved in the tank – a concentration so high no living microorganism can survive. In addition, an ultra-violet light sterilization system is used and all water will pass through this high powered light. UV is the safest, most effective system available and uses the same technology as water purification systems used for drinking water. A shower is mandatory before floating.
Can I drown while floating?
It's not possible to drown while you float. Our state of the art float tanks are filled with 450Kg of high quality epsom salts so your will remain completely buoyant for the duration of your time in the tank.
How do I know when my float is over?
At the beginning of your session there is 10 minutes of music to allow you to relax and then a golden silence for 45mins. In the last five minutes the music will fade back in to ease you back to out of your float.
